I like to go to my local movie theater. It is just a five-minute walk away. I can go and watch movies late at night and do not need to worry about getting a taxi or taking the subway. The movie theater screens movies late at night, so this is a perfect way to relax on a Friday or Saturday night. I prefer movie theaters that are smaller because they are usually less popular. This means I can always buy a ticket without queuing for a long time at the box office.  The seats are bigger and more comfortable than most other movie theaters. I like to watch horror or thriller movies, so it is really atmospheric and scary to watch them in an almost empty movie theater. Plus, on Saturday mornings the movie theater gives an early bird discount to adults accompanied by a child. 
When I have to take care of my nephew, I take him to the movie theater. This is a special treat for him. The movie theater sells snacks at a reasonable price, so I buy my nephew popcorn and lemonade. Because this movie theater is family friendly I prefer going here than to other theaters.

That’s a tough question, because I don’t have the luxury of much time to watch films these days.  So, I guess I would have to choose one of my favorite stars from the golden age of Hollywood!  I’ve always enjoyed Cary Grant’s acting in some of Alfred Hitchcock’s films.  I think he’s got a rare combination of comedic timing and charisma. Grace Kelly co-stars with him in a film I saw again recently and she’s stunning.  They have a pretty great on-screen chemistry and it makes sense to me that she became a real-life princess shortly after working on this film.  I don’t follow the celebrity tabloids or websites, so I’m afraid I’m not able to offer recent news about any living celebrities.

The last performance I saw was “The Phantom of the Opera,” when I was visiting New York last year. As far as musicals go, this was by far the best I have ever seen. All of the characters were so intriguing and the plot was utterly captivating. I know that this musical is considered a classic, but I was still very impressed. What made it even better was that I got to share the experience with my brother and sister. They both live overseas now, so we don’t get to see each other all that often. It was a great opportunity to reconnect with my family while having a quintessential New York experience. I would highly recommend the show to anyone; it’s one not to be missed!
